This Privacy Policy describes how JoyeGlasses ("JoyeGlasses," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit joyeglasses.com, place an order, create an account, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

This Privacy Policy is a notice about our data practices. It is not a contract requiring you to consent to every practice described below. Where consent is required, we request it separately.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

· Identifiers and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, account details, and online identifiers.

· Order and commercial information, such as products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order history, lens selections, discounts, payment status, shipping information, returns, and customer-service records.

· Prescription and lens information, such as sphere, cylinder, axis, add power, pupillary distance (PD), prism, prescription images or files, and other information you submit for prescription or customized eyewear.

· Payment-related information. Payment details are processed by payment providers. We do not directly store complete payment-card numbers or full payment credentials.

· Internet, device, and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, cookie or device identifiers, referring pages, pages viewed, searches, interactions, and session activity.

· Communications, such as emails, messages, support requests, reviews, survey responses, and other content you provide.

· Marketing preferences, including whether you have agreed to receive promotional communications.

· Inferences, such as likely product interests or preferences derived from your interactions with our store, where permitted by law.

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through our website and related technologies, and from service providers and partners that support our store.

2. Prescription and Lens Information

We treat prescription and lens information as sensitive information. JoyeGlasses processes this information internally to manufacture, customize, verify, and fulfill your eyewear order; respond to questions; handle remakes, returns, or warranty issues; and maintain appropriate order records.

We do not send prescription information to a third-party lens laboratory for routine fulfillment. Authorized JoyeGlasses personnel may access it only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Our ecommerce, cloud, security, or technical service providers may process or store this information on our behalf when it is entered into or transmitted through their systems.

We do not use prescription information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell prescription information for monetary consideration. We retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for order fulfillment, customer service, legal or accounting obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and warranty or remake support.

If an eyewear order is for a child, the child's parent or legal guardian should place the order and provide any prescription information.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

· Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.

· Process, manufacture, fulfill, ship, and support orders.

· Confirm prescription and lens requirements and provide customized eyewear.

· Create and manage customer accounts.

· Communicate about orders, shipping, returns, support, and policy updates.

· Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity.

· Analyze website traffic, store performance, and customer interactions, including through Google Analytics 4.

· Personalize store experiences and, where permitted, measure or provide marketing and advertising.

· Send marketing communications when you have requested or agreed to receive them.

· Comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.

· Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain security, remember preferences and cart contents, support checkout, understand website usage, measure performance, and provide personalization or marketing where permitted.

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure website and ecommerce activity. Information collected through analytics technologies may include device and browser information, approximate location, pages viewed, products viewed, cart and checkout events, referring sources, and interaction data.

Where our store provides a Cookie Preferences control, you can use it to accept, reject, or change your choices for non-essential technologies. You may also adjust browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from functioning properly.

5. Shopify and Shopify Network Intelligence

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information when you visit or make a purchase from our store in order to provide ecommerce, security, fraud prevention, analytics, personalization, and related services.

We have enabled Shopify Network Intelligence and related enhanced services. As a result, Shopify may use information about your interactions with our store together with information from your interactions with Shopify or other merchants to help provide more customized experiences, improve services, understand store and advertising performance, and provide more relevant advertising where permitted.

Information may be shared with Shopify and other service providers, including providers located in other countries, to provide these services. Shopify's own processing is described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also visit the Shopify Privacy Portal to learn about choices relating to Shopify's processing.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

· Shopify and ecommerce service providers that host and operate our store and related services.

· Payment providers that process transactions and help prevent payment fraud.

· Shipping and logistics providers that deliver orders and manage shipment services.

· Cloud, IT, security, communications, and customer-service providers that support our operations.

· Analytics and marketing providers, including Google Analytics, that help us understand performance and, where permitted, conduct or measure marketing.

· Professional advisers and authorities, when reasonably necessary for legal, tax, audit, compliance, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes.

· Parties to a business transaction, if we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

We require service providers to process personal information for authorized purposes and to protect it appropriately, subject to their roles and applicable agreements.

7. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain disclosures of identifiers, device information, internet activity, or inferred interests to Shopify or advertising and analytics partners may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or use for "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.

Where applicable, you can opt out by using the Your Privacy Choices link in our website footer. You may opt out for the browser or device you are using and, when the page offers that option, submit an email address to apply the request to a related customer account.

We also process legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), as required by applicable law. Because these signals are generally browser- and device-specific, you may need to enable them on each browser or device you use.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for targeted advertising.

8. Marketing Communications

If you subscribe to email or other marketing, we may send product updates, offers, and related messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional communications concerning orders, accounts, security, or customer service.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the status of an order or account, warranty and customer-service needs, fraud and security considerations, legal and tax requirements, dispute-resolution needs, and applicable limitation periods.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Processing

JoyeGlasses fulfills orders and conducts operations from Danyang / Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, China. Shopify indicates that the primary hosting location for our store, order, and customer data is the United States. We and our service providers may access, process, or store personal information in the United States, China, and other countries where we or they operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your state. We use service providers and contractual arrangements intended to protect information as required by applicable law.

12. U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

· Confirm whether we process your personal information and access that information.

· Correct inaccurate personal information.

· Request deletion of personal information.

We may need to verify your identity and request before responding. If an authorized agent submits a request, we may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

13. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian may purchase eyewear for a child and submit the child's prescription information for fulfillment. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate parental involvement, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
